Fair & Lovely's New Powder Cream: A One-Stop Solution for Smooth, Matte and Bright Skin

Who doesn't want fresh, smooth and radiant skin, but achieving that in this humid fest seems like a distant dream. Whether you are a college student, a working woman or a stay-at-home mom, fresh, radiant skin is something every woman wants- because when you look good, you feel good, and when you feel good you do your best.

Well, fret not as I have just the right product for you. It is Fair and Lovely's new Powder Cream which turns from cream to powder in a matter of minutes, and ensures that you have smooth, matte and bright skin for 14 long hours!

I recently attended the launch of Fair & Lovely's new Powder Cream and was glad to know that FAL had come up with a one-stop solution for all the greasiness and oiliness that is associated with the application of face creams. Because who doesn't want fresh, smooth skin all day long!

The launch event was super-fun with a ton of exciting games and surprises, and it was lovely to be pampered by the Fair & Lovely Team. We spent the entire day chatting about beauty and skincare, playing games and interacting with like-minded beauty and fashion bloggers.

During the course of the event, I also got the opportunity to test out Fair & Lovely's Powder Cream, which I must say is great for everyday use- just apply a pea size quantity of this magic formula and you'll  be good to go!

The product claims that it provides:
·         Instant Bright Look
·         Powder Smooth Finish
·         All Day Oil Control
·         Matte, Non-Oily Feel

I think a cream like this is excellent for everyday use since not only does it turn to powder after application, it also ensures that your face looks bright and radiant all day long. And in case you want to wear make-up, this Powder Cream will provide excellent base for your foundation and ensure that your foundation doesn't melt away.

The icing on the cake, however, is that this #FALPowderCream is priced at INR 115/- for 40 gm, making it pocket friendly. So now you do not have to burn a hole in your pocket in order to look fresh and radiant all day long. #SetLookAllDay

How cute is this cupcake?

Another exciting news is that I will be hosting a giveaway very soon so make sure you have joined me on Instagram and Facebook.

Now coming on to the outfit that I wore to this product launch event, I knew I wanted to be comfortable in my dressing since the event spanned the whole day. So I chose a simple denim dress- I love the fact that the dress is so comfy, yet stylish at the same time. I also wore a statement necklace (which is not visible in this photo), and some pearl studs. My footwear of choice was leather flats, and I carried my Louis Vuitton Galliera which pulled the whole look together.

Dress: Zara, Watch: Tommy Hilfiger, Bag: Louis Vuitton, Sandals: Bata

I would love to hear your feedback. :)

Affordable SkinCare, HairCare and Beauty Haul || Patanjali Products

I know when it comes to skincare, most of the so-called 'quality' products are over-priced, so I wanted to share with you some skincare, beauty and haircare products that are not only great quality, but also pocket friendly, because as much as I like a fancy jar of lotion, I also don't want the same to burn a hole in my pocket. Another point is that my skin is rather sensitive, so expensive or not, not every product suits me. The Patanjali products shown in the video below suit me perfectly, and the icing on the cake is that they are rather affordable!

BTW, if you've been following my Turkey Tales, you would know that I have been using the sunscreen and facewash for over a month now! :)

I would love to know if you guys have tried out any of these products, or any other Patanjali product for that matter.

PS: There's a dash of food items thrown in as well.

Disclaimer: All products have been bought with my own money and the opinion put forth is my honest one.

What's In My Travel Toiletry Bag: Skincare and Haircare

Hi guys!

In this video I share with you the toiletry I carry with me on a short trip (2-3 days). The one thing that I missed to show you was my shower gel since that was lying in the bathroom.

And in case you are wondering, I carry a small bottle of perfume in my make-up bag, so even that's not featured here.

Product Empties/ Reviews: Beauty, Skincare, Haircare

Hi guys!

I have been featured on the Creative Mondays section of Claire’s lovely blog. You can have a look at the outfit that was specifically featured here.

Now coming on to today’s post, I’ll start by stating that although I am not big on accumulating stuff and not using them, sometimes I have a jar of cream or a bottle of shampoo sitting pretty on the shelves for longer than I’d ideally want. In this video, I am sharing with you all the beauty, skincare and haircare stuff that I have managed to empty, hence the title ‘Product Empties’. I have also tried to sort of give a one-line review of these products, and whether, depending on their quality, I will or will not repurchase them.

This is my first ‘Product Empties’ video. If you like the video, then please give it a thumbs-up. For more Beauty and Fashion videos, just subscribe to my YouTube Channel (Clothes and Creativity).

Lakme 9 to 5 Hydrating Super Sunscreen SPF 50: Review

I don’t really have a specific skincare routine, in fact when it comes to skincare, I just wash my face and make sure its moisturized. But one thing that I do not miss doing is wearing a sunscreen. I think it’s one of the most important things you can do for your skin- wear a good sunscreen daily, it goes a long way in protecting your skin against sun damage.

Now although, I’ve been quite loyal to Neutrogena Ulta Sheer Dry Sun Block SPF 50, I’m currently using the Lakme 9 to 5 Hydrating Super Sunscreen SPF 50. If you would like to know what I think of this product, just watch the video below. J

ORIFLAME ESSENTIALS DAILY SCRUB CLEANSER: Review

Product: Daily Scrub Cleanser for All Skin Types.
Packaging: This scrub comes in a white and blue tube with a screw cap. While the tube is not fancy by any means, it does look nice and crisp.
Quantity: 100 ml

Price: Rs. 279/-

Product Quality: The Oriflame Essentials Daily Scrub Cleanser is a high quality product. It is white in colour and contains minute exfoliating particles (not really visible to the naked eye but can be felt on the skin) which are effective in cleansing the face and removing impurities and dead skin/cells. The scrub contains vitamin E which has beneficial properties and is supposed to be very good for the skin.
Now my skin type is ‘combination’. Another characteristic of my skin is that it is sensitive. If I use any product which doesn’t suit my skin, it breaks out immediately. And till date, whichever scrub I have tried has led to pimples and rashes. For the longest time I could not find a scrub which suited my skin type. But with this product, my search for the perfect scrub cleanser has come to an end. The scrub cleans my skin and leaves it feeling fresh. It is gentle on the skin and thus can be used daily to remove dirt and impurities from the skin.

Recommendation: This scrub is gentle on the skin and can be used daily, unlike other scrubs which are harsh and often leave the skin dry and itchy. This scrub can be used for sensitive skin. And the best part is that it is economical. So if you are looking for a scrub to thoroughly cleanse your skin without leaving it dry, look no more. This production is the solution to your problem.
Which scrub do you use? If you try this product, do drop a line and let me know your experience.
