Affordable SkinCare, HairCare and Beauty Haul || Patanjali Products

I know when it comes to skincare, most of the so-called 'quality' products are over-priced, so I wanted to share with you some skincare, beauty and haircare products that are not only great quality, but also pocket friendly, because as much as I like a fancy jar of lotion, I also don't want the same to burn a hole in my pocket. Another point is that my skin is rather sensitive, so expensive or not, not every product suits me. The Patanjali products shown in the video below suit me perfectly, and the icing on the cake is that they are rather affordable!

BTW, if you've been following my Turkey Tales, you would know that I have been using the sunscreen and facewash for over a month now! :)

I would love to know if you guys have tried out any of these products, or any other Patanjali product for that matter.

PS: There's a dash of food items thrown in as well.

Disclaimer: All products have been bought with my own money and the opinion put forth is my honest one.

Best Budget Lipstick for Indian Skintone: Maybelline Colorshow: Choco-Latte: Swatches and Review

This might just be the best budget lipstick for Indian skin-tone. At Rs. 299/-, Maybelline (Colorshow) has come out with such a winner- the lipstick in shade #313 (Choco-Latte) is the perfect neutral to have in your kitty, and even though it’s a neutral (IMO), it adds immense warmth to the face. To know more about the lipstick (swatches and how it looks once worn) just watch the video below.

BTW, I have a pretty coral lipstick from the same range. Checkout the review here.

Best Matte Lipstick for Indian Skintone: Revlon Matte Balm in Sultry

I had read a bunch of rave reviews about the Revlon Colorburst Matte Balm range so when I visited the mall last week, I was quick to get one of these cute balm sticks for myself. Lakme 9 to 5 Hydrating Super Sunscreen SPF 50: Review

I don’t really have a specific skincare routine, in fact when it comes to skincare, I just wash my face and make sure its moisturized. But one thing that I do not miss doing is wearing a sunscreen. I think it’s one of the most important things you can do for your skin- wear a good sunscreen daily, it goes a long way in protecting your skin against sun damage.

Now although, I’ve been quite loyal to Neutrogena Ulta Sheer Dry Sun Block SPF 50, I’m currently using the Lakme 9 to 5 Hydrating Super Sunscreen SPF 50. If you would like to know what I think of this product, just watch the video below. J

Detailed Review of My Louis Vuitton Speedy 30 Monogram Handbag

I know most of my blog posts start with something like this

“If you follow me on Instagram you would already know...”, but it’s actually true, the fact that my Instagram is updated almost on a daily basis so if you follow me there, you would already know that sometime in May, I was gifted my DREAM BAG (Louis Vuitton Speedy 30 Monogram) by my Hubs.
Now why do I call it my Dream Bag you ask? Well, that’s because ever since I can remember, I have always wanted to own this beauty of a bag. And the fact that Audrey Hepburn carried it wherever she went, adds to its charm and timelessness. Honestly guys, it’s a classic! Now I’m not going to go on and on about the handbag here, instead I have something better for you, and that’s the video I made on this beauty. Just play it and see for yourself why I love this bag SO much.

PS: Technically, this is not my first LV handbag, I also have an Eva Clutch in Damier Ebene but I though I’ll do a review on the Speedy first. J

INCOLOR KAJAL: Review

One of the make-up items I cannot do without is ‘Kajal’. I need to define my eyes with Kajal before I leave the house. And over the years, I have had the opportunity to try a variety of brands of Kajal. Some weren’t true black, some would melt, smudge and darken the under eye area, and others would not give the desired effect. In short, I could not really find the perfect Kajal that would stay good for a couple of hours. I did take a liking to the Maybelline Kajal for a while, but thought that it kind of smudged by the end of the day. So I was looking for an alternative. I had read great reviews about the ‘Incolor’ kajal on the internet and so I picked it up from one of the make-up stores at Karol Bagh a couple of months back.

Packaging: The Kajal comes in the form of a black, twist-up pencil.

Price: Rs. 125/-.

Product Quality: The Kajal is a nice, deep black in colour. One swipe is enough to outline the eye. And it glides on smoothly without breaking or becoming patchy. One can draw a consistent, thick line, defining one’s eyes easily. And the best part is that it stays on for long hours. I am talking 6 to 8 hours. Yes, you read it right, 6-8 hours, so you know your eyes are taken care of with one swipe of this Kajal in the morning. Another thing which I like about this Kajal is that it does not smudge. I wear my Kajal in the morning when I’m getting ready for work and the Kajal stays fine till the time I’m back home. Ever since I started using this Kajal, I have been hooked on to it. I do not feel the need to switch to another Kajal.

Positives:
  Beautiful black colour.
Consistent and thick. One swipe is enough to define the eyes.
  Stays on for long hours.
  Does not smudge/Waterproof.
 Super-economical.

Negatives:
None really!
Recommendation/Comments: This Kajal is excellent. I say go for it.

Please drop me a line if you have tried this Kajal.

ORIFLAME ESSENTIALS DAILY SCRUB CLEANSER: Review

Product: Daily Scrub Cleanser for All Skin Types.
Packaging: This scrub comes in a white and blue tube with a screw cap. While the tube is not fancy by any means, it does look nice and crisp.
Quantity: 100 ml

Price: Rs. 279/-

Product Quality: The Oriflame Essentials Daily Scrub Cleanser is a high quality product. It is white in colour and contains minute exfoliating particles (not really visible to the naked eye but can be felt on the skin) which are effective in cleansing the face and removing impurities and dead skin/cells. The scrub contains vitamin E which has beneficial properties and is supposed to be very good for the skin.
Now my skin type is ‘combination’. Another characteristic of my skin is that it is sensitive. If I use any product which doesn’t suit my skin, it breaks out immediately. And till date, whichever scrub I have tried has led to pimples and rashes. For the longest time I could not find a scrub which suited my skin type. But with this product, my search for the perfect scrub cleanser has come to an end. The scrub cleans my skin and leaves it feeling fresh. It is gentle on the skin and thus can be used daily to remove dirt and impurities from the skin.

Recommendation: This scrub is gentle on the skin and can be used daily, unlike other scrubs which are harsh and often leave the skin dry and itchy. This scrub can be used for sensitive skin. And the best part is that it is economical. So if you are looking for a scrub to thoroughly cleanse your skin without leaving it dry, look no more. This production is the solution to your problem.
Which scrub do you use? If you try this product, do drop a line and let me know your experience.
