Celebrity Style Inspiration || Miranda Kerr || 3 Outfits

Celebrity street style serves as a major source of fashion inspiration for me, and TBH, I can spend hours looking at outfit photos of my favourite celebrities, and more often than not, the thought that comes to my mind is that I could put similar, if not same, outfits together.

So working on this very thought, I recreated 3 looks inspired by Miranda Kerr's street style. She has got a stunning sense of style and I've never come across a photo of hers where she looks anything less than gorgeous!

Please watch the video to see the looks that I came up with, and please leave a comment stating which look was your favourite.

OOTD & Try-On Fashion Haul || KOOVS & Zara

Stripes are a classic in their own right and I really feel that one can't have enough stripe-y items in their wardrobe. At least I feel that whenever I shop, I subconsciously gravitate towards stripes- and that's the reason I bought two striped maxi dresses (and a lot more) from the recent online Koovs Sale. I've also included a beautiful white cape that I bought from Zara fairly recently.

The one in the first photo is pretty much a classic black-white striped maxi, but the bohemian maxi (photo 2) is the one which is my absolute favourite, and that's because I'm not the only one who loves this colourful number, it seems Kareena Kapoor and I have similar taste when it comes to 'fashion'. She was spotted wearing the same maxi on Saif's birthday. And wait for it, just when you thought Kareena and I had only this maxi dress in common, there's another maxi that we both own, but to know which maxi is that you'll have watch the video. ;)

BTW, I also picked up a few kimonos which I'm sure all you kimono fans would love.

What I Wore in Istanbul || Fashion LookBook

Hola people!

Long time no post! Haha! I'm not even going to try to explain why I was away, but suffice to say that I'm back with a lot of fun, vibrant, bohemian outfits to keep you entertained for a week, if not more. :)
So if you follow my YouTube Channel, you would know that my Husband and I were in Turkey for 3 weeks, and loved every bit of our time there. We travelled extensively through the Turkish countryside, and explored as much as we could during the course of our stay. In case you guys want to checkout what all we indulged in (and we indulged in a lot of fun, exhilarating things- read 'hot air balloon ride' and 'paragliding from a mountain top'), please click here.

Now coming back to the topic of this post which is "What I Wore in Istanbul"- I wore a variety of different outfits, but almost every outfit had bohemian elements. Since we spent about a week in Istanbul, I did have the option of experimenting a lot with my clothing there, and needless to say, I enjoyed dressing up to the fullest everyday! :) I did try to document most of the outfits, but didn't really manage to capture all of them. I'm sure you'll get a glimpse of some of the outfits (not featured in this LookBook) in my Turkey Travel Diaries.

I love to read your comments so please let me know which outfit was your favourite.

My Birthday Outfit

Birthdays are special, so are Birthday Outfits. So today I’ll share with you what I wore on my Birthday (which was on 21st July).

Since were going for lunch, I kept my outfit casual + comfy, and nothing screams comfy like a good maxi dress. So I wore a beautiful starry maxi dress (gifted to me by my little sister) with some neutral flats. To accessorize, I just wore big white/gold earrings (which complemented the star print) which I got from Bangkok. And I carried my beautiful Louis Vuitton Speedy 25 handbag which fit in all my necessities for the day. I also wore my rose-gold watch (which I seldom leave home without).

Want to have a closer look at my outfit and the accessories? Just watch the video below.

I did change in to another outfit for the evening, since we were going for a movie. I get uncomfortably cold in cinema halls so I added a light cardigan to the mix.

I would love to hear your comments and feedback so do drop in a line.

Where else to find me?

My Holiday Look-Book No.2: Beach (Thailand- Koh Samui, Krabi, Ao Nang)

After staying in Bangkok for exactly one night (we did stay there for 3-4 days on our way back), my Husband and I proceeded to the south of Thailand, to the region which is home to countless pristine beaches, lush palm trees and beautiful little villages.

Our first stop was the rather popular island of Koh Samui, and we stayed there for about 6 days- 6 days packed with fun and adventure. In case you want to have a glimpse at all the madness that we were up to, you can check-out my Thailand Vlogs. So like I said, we indulged in a ton of activities (read: trekking, kayaking, snorkeling), apart from just leisurely lying on the beach and that was pretty much the case throughout our sojourn in the Gulf of Thailand (we visited a number of islands, maybe I’ll write a detailed post on it later). And that meant I needed to be smart with the choice of my clothes. As much as I loved frolicking in gorgeous floral summer dresses, I also needed something practical for trekking (which was quite an experience). Now to be honest, the majority of my vacation clothes consisted primarily of cute little sun-dresses and maxis with the exception of one denim shorts, one basic black shorts and two pairs of jeans (for air travel). But I think I managed rather well with all the clothes I had packed (and I did pack a lot of dresses).

Have a look at the video below to know what I’m talking about.

I love this maxi dress.

My only pair of denim shorts paired up with an easy-breezy top (never-mind the funny pose).

Holiday Look-Book #1: Bangkok/ Thailand

Hi Guys!

I know I’ve been MIA for quite some time, and you might get the feeling that this blog has been neglected (I know I feel like that), but I promise you I’m back in full swing! To be honest, I think I’ve been finding YouTube a lot more creatively satisfying, hence the lack of action on this blog. But like I said, I do intend to get this blog rolling once again, so please be patient and stick around. J

To kick-start this post, I’ve got a bunch of really fun outfits that I wore on our most recent vacation. If you follow me on Instagram, or if you are a subbie of my YouTube Channel, you would be aware that my Husband and I spent the last couple of weeks in Thailand, exploring quite a few lovely little islands in the south of Thailand as well as enjoying all the glitz that Bangkok had to offer. Thailand is a sensory overload, to say the least. And I do plan on sharing some tips and tricks that I have acquired, thanks to our extensive travels, but that’s for another day.

For now, checkout (most of) the fun and colourful outfits that I sported in the city of Bangkok!

PS: I say most because I didn’t manage to film a couple of outfits, but I’m sure you’ll see them in my Thailand Vlogs!

Happy Diwali: Outfit and Make-up Idea!

It’s that time of the year again- Diwali time! J

I can literally smell festivity in the air- what with every corner lit up, every one dressed to the nines, card parties, sound of crackers, smell of sweets and what not. And while Diwali week is all about having fun and dressing up, one might want to wear something that’s comfy without comprising on the “style quotient”.

So today, I’m going to share with you this outfit which is apt for attending those Diwali parties (or you could also wear this during daytime on Diwali), and that wouldn’t even break the bank. What more, it’s breezy, comfy and unique. And it’s got a strong bohemian vibe to it. I don’t know about you, but I love anything and everything bohemian.

So watch the video below to find out what this Diwali Outfit is all about.

Let me know in the comments if you liked the outfit. And if you did then please give this video a thumbs-up. For more Fashion and Beauty related videos, feel free to subscribe to my YouTube Channel (Clothes and Creativity).

Comfort Dressing: Maxi Dress: Weekend Outfit

Hello lovely people!

I am delighted to share that I was featured on Claire’s wonderful blog and you can read all about it here. In case you want to check-out the post that was featured, you can see it here.

I’ve been under the weather for a few days now, and waking up to the news of my post being featured brought about the much needed cheer and happiness. I haven’t even gone to work.

Most of Sunday was spent in bed because I was feeling bleaaah! I had fever and body-ache. However, in the evening my husband suggested we go out for a bit, just so I would feel better. By the time I got out of bed and freshened up, I was feeling better. I just wanted to wear the comfiest outfit ever. And in my knowledge, PJs are the comfiest ever, but I really didn’t want to make a spectacle of myself. So I grabbed the next most comfortable thing, and that was this maxi dress. It’s a failry recent addition to my wardrobe and I’ve already worn it twice. I have spoken (written) about my love for maxi dresses here, here, here and here. This maxi dress is kind of monochromatic. It’s got a tie-up belt in black and black sequins on the shoulder. I forgot to take a photograph of the sequined shoulder. I was in no mood to carry a super heavy bag so I stuck to my black studded sling bag. And keeping the comfy quotient in mind, I wore my silver flats. I was glad that I looked presentable taking in to consideration the fact that I wasn’t feeling great.

The fresh air did me some good and for a couple of hours I felt kind of fine, however, once back home the body-ache and fever returned and I hated it. I’m still unwell and had to miss work, but I’m hoping to get better soon.

The Yellow Maxi Dress

I need to stop buying clothes! Really! I mean every time I walk by a store or a flea-market, I end up buying something or the other, even though I might have similar items! And on occasions that I do not buy anything, I feel kind of disappointed. I know it’s a bad habit. But how to break it?! I have read that before buying a clothing item, envisioning it being worn several ways or with different items (at least 3) is a good indicator of whether you should buy it or not! But somehow, when something catches my fancy, I just want to have it, irrespective of the fact that I might have similar pieces already!

Now coming on to my latest buy, as some of you (readers) might know, I have been obsessed with maxi dresses since quite some time now (you can find the proof and )! I mean they are like SO comfy and easy to wear. Plus they are kind of dressy. So it was no surprise that when I found this yellow maxi (while taking a stroll with my girlie friend on one of the rather famous street markets in Delhi), I grabbed it immediately! I didn’t bother to check the silhouette or anything else! The fact that it was a maxi in a beautiful shade of yellow was enough to lure me in to buying it. Plus, the price was SO reasonable. So happily I got it home and did not even waste a second trying it on. However, once I wore it, I realised that the cut/silhouette didn’t flatter my body-type much! I mean I love the colour and the fit on the top, but the lower part has a funny cut which makes me look bigger than I actually am. I quickly got myself clicked in it so as to analyse if this maxi is any good (for me at least). I also wore a necklace to get an idea of how it would look accessorized. Haha!
What do you think? Looking forward to your feedback. J

My friend and I also bought some other stuff. Might do a post on that as well!

Maxi Dress: Outfit (of the Night)

If you have been reading this blog for some time, you would know that I am a BIG fan of maxi dresses (proof of my love for maxi dresses can be seen here and here). Really, they are super-comfortable and they hide all the (supposed) flaws. Isn’t that a win-win situation?! On days when I have to go to some place nice (read a place that demands you dress-up rather well), and when I’m not in the mood to put in a ton of effort in to dressing-up, I just throw on a maxi dress and some statement jewellery.

So on Friday night when my husband and I decided to head out for dinner and drinks, I chose to wear this gorgeous black maxi dress. This is the first time I have worn it. Not much to say apart from the fact that it’s pretty much a classic piece of clothing- plain black maxi with a gorgeous bejeweled neckline. I added a beautiful pearl necklace because I think pearls look exceptionally good with black. I would like to think that this necklace is a ‘statement necklace’ cause you do not need any other accessory once you have this necklace on. What do you think? For footwear I had my black pumps on and I carried my lipstick and other non-essentials in the studded black bag. I was pleasantly happy with this outfit.

Maxi Love- Weekend Outfit

What to wear when you feel like putting zilch effort in to dressing-up?! I say grab a maxi and get going in 30 seconds…well, not exactly 30 seconds but you get the idea! I have already talked about my love for maxis here

So on Saturday evening we decided to head out to a lounge/club near our place. I was not in a mood to put tons of effort in to looking good. I wanted to wear something easy and relaxed without compromising on the fashion quotient (so to say!). Out came my coral maxi. I had bought this Maxi last year on my Birthday and have been loving it ever since. I wore my neutral heels, stuffed my phone, card and lipper in my brown sling bag, added a touch of make-up and I was good to go.

Super-comfy heels!

What do you wear when you’re not in a mood to get dressed-up but situation demands so?

MAXI DRESS- Your Cheat Sheet to Looking Good! Guest Post on Looking Good Feeling Fab.

I am thrilled to share that I have been featured on Abhilasha’s awesome fashion blog Looking Good Feeling Fab

She has a great sense of style and I truly enjoy reading her blog. She even had a super-fun questionnaire for me. So if you’re interested in finding out answers, hop on to her blog Looking Good Feeling Fab

Here goes the guest post:

I’m a big fan of maxi dresses. One cannot really go wrong with a maxi dress. You can just throw on a maxi dress, wear some flats (or heels for the night), put on some colour on your cheeks and voila, you’re ready to head-out.

Maxi dresses are so easy to wear that you almost feel like you are cheating in the dressing department. They hide all the flaws and still make you look gorgeous, giving the impression that you have made a ton of effort to look good, while in reality, you have just worn this piece and let it do the talking J Hence, I call it my ‘Cheat Sheet’ to looking good!

I have a few…well actually quite a few maxi dresses. Up until 2 summers back I hardly had any, but once I started wearing them, I kept wanting to add more to my collection. You can wear them during the day, or spice them up with bold accessories for the night. They are just so versatile and easy to rock.

Okay…I must stop raving about maxi dresses and get on to my outfit. I bought this maxi dress without actually trying it on. I liked the colour and the animal-print. I thought animal print in blue/black made for an unusual combo. So I got it home and once I tried it, I loved it even more. Here I have paired it up with some silver earrings and pink/black snakeskin bag. Since I wore it during the day, I chose my studded berry coloured flats for footwear. And keeping the silver earrings in mind, I had my silver watch on. To keep my eyes protected from the sun, I wore my favourite pair of aviators.
Do you like wearing maxi dresses? I would love to know your thoughts on the outfit.
