Denim Vest LookBook || 5 Different Outfits

I don't know why I didn't share this sooner on my blog, but they say better late than never- right? So today I'm going to profess my love for the "denim vest". Now don't get me wrong, I haven't always had a thing for denim vests, in fact to be honest, I only have one denim vest in my wardrobe and that's also a fairly recent addition- but boy do I love the versatility of this piece.

I bought my denim dress from here, and ever since I bought it, I have worn it once every week if not everyday. From teaming it up with maxi dresses to sporting it over a pair of jeans, this little piece of clothing has been worn multiple ways.

Have a look at this video to see how I wore my denim vest with five different outfits. Please let me know which outfit did you like the best. :)

Fair & Lovely's New Powder Cream: A One-Stop Solution for Smooth, Matte and Bright Skin

Who doesn't want fresh, smooth and radiant skin, but achieving that in this humid fest seems like a distant dream. Whether you are a college student, a working woman or a stay-at-home mom, fresh, radiant skin is something every woman wants- because when you look good, you feel good, and when you feel good you do your best.

Well, fret not as I have just the right product for you. It is Fair and Lovely's new Powder Cream which turns from cream to powder in a matter of minutes, and ensures that you have smooth, matte and bright skin for 14 long hours!

I recently attended the launch of Fair & Lovely's new Powder Cream and was glad to know that FAL had come up with a one-stop solution for all the greasiness and oiliness that is associated with the application of face creams. Because who doesn't want fresh, smooth skin all day long!

The launch event was super-fun with a ton of exciting games and surprises, and it was lovely to be pampered by the Fair & Lovely Team. We spent the entire day chatting about beauty and skincare, playing games and interacting with like-minded beauty and fashion bloggers.

During the course of the event, I also got the opportunity to test out Fair & Lovely's Powder Cream, which I must say is great for everyday use- just apply a pea size quantity of this magic formula and you'll  be good to go!

The product claims that it provides:
·         Instant Bright Look
·         Powder Smooth Finish
·         All Day Oil Control
·         Matte, Non-Oily Feel

I think a cream like this is excellent for everyday use since not only does it turn to powder after application, it also ensures that your face looks bright and radiant all day long. And in case you want to wear make-up, this Powder Cream will provide excellent base for your foundation and ensure that your foundation doesn't melt away.

The icing on the cake, however, is that this #FALPowderCream is priced at INR 115/- for 40 gm, making it pocket friendly. So now you do not have to burn a hole in your pocket in order to look fresh and radiant all day long. #SetLookAllDay

How cute is this cupcake?

Another exciting news is that I will be hosting a giveaway very soon so make sure you have joined me on Instagram and Facebook.

Now coming on to the outfit that I wore to this product launch event, I knew I wanted to be comfortable in my dressing since the event spanned the whole day. So I chose a simple denim dress- I love the fact that the dress is so comfy, yet stylish at the same time. I also wore a statement necklace (which is not visible in this photo), and some pearl studs. My footwear of choice was leather flats, and I carried my Louis Vuitton Galliera which pulled the whole look together.

Dress: Zara, Watch: Tommy Hilfiger, Bag: Louis Vuitton, Sandals: Bata

I would love to hear your feedback. :)

How I Celebrated My Birthday: Outfit and Gifts

So I recently turned a year older, and I firmly believe that growing up doesn't have to mean you're growing old! :) Honestly, age is just a number, and the older (and wiser) I grow, the  more I realise the same! ;)

To give you guys a glimpse of my Birthday Celebrations, I filmed a short Birthday Vlog for you guys (you'll get a sneak peek of Birthday Outfit and Birthday Gifts)! Hope you guys like it.

And for those of you who are at work or are unable to play the video for some reason, here's a photo of my Birthday Outfit - it's a burgundy coloured high-low dress from Zara with beautiful but subtle embroidery on the neckline. I kept my outfit fairly simple, thanks to the hot and humid weather. I have shared all other outfit details in the video.

Weekend Outfit Ideas

So it's safe to say that I've been bitten by the 'travel bug', and might I add that I'm quite enjoying the feeling of exploring new places, trying out different cuisines, and just generally soaking in varied cultural experiences.

If you're confused, I suggest you checkout my Turkey Travel Tales, and I promise you that by the end of my Travel Tales you'll have a smile on your face.

So about a week or two back, we hit the hills, so to say, on a quiet rainy weekend, and loved every bit of our stay in one of the mystical little villages of Himachal Pradesh. The photos don't do the place much justice but I promise you this little village had a  rather mystical aura. The clouds hung low on the hills, the flora and fauna mimicked that of a tropical town, lending the place some serious 'Jungle Book' vibes! All in all we had a lovely little family vacation here.

And coming back to the main focus of this post, I wore two strikingly different outfits on this mini-vacation. Click the play button to checkout my 'weekend outfits'.

I'd love to know which outfit did you like better.

Affordable SkinCare, HairCare and Beauty Haul || Patanjali Products

I know when it comes to skincare, most of the so-called 'quality' products are over-priced, so I wanted to share with you some skincare, beauty and haircare products that are not only great quality, but also pocket friendly, because as much as I like a fancy jar of lotion, I also don't want the same to burn a hole in my pocket. Another point is that my skin is rather sensitive, so expensive or not, not every product suits me. The Patanjali products shown in the video below suit me perfectly, and the icing on the cake is that they are rather affordable!

BTW, if you've been following my Turkey Tales, you would know that I have been using the sunscreen and facewash for over a month now! :)

I would love to know if you guys have tried out any of these products, or any other Patanjali product for that matter.

PS: There's a dash of food items thrown in as well.

Disclaimer: All products have been bought with my own money and the opinion put forth is my honest one.

Winter Fashion Lookbook || Clothes and Creativity

Although Delhi winters have been kind of erratic this time, it’s cold enough to be bundled up in a few warm layers, and for once, I am enjoying the process of getting dressed-up for this rather ‘warmish’ winter season.

However, by ‘warmish’ I do not mean warm, but for those of you who have stayed in Delhi or have experienced the infamous “Dilli ki Sardi” would know what I am talking about. And keeping in mind the current weather situation, I have 3 outfits that are perfect to be worn at this time.

For more details on each outfit, feel free to hit the play button.

It’d be great to know which outfit did you like the best. J

Mix and Match Indian Outfit

Those of you who follow me on Instagram and/or have subscribed to my YouTube Channel would know that I have been attending weddings (and other related functions) back to back, and boy am I glad that the first installment of the ‘wedding season’ is over!

Now that I have some breathing space, I will share with you all the fancy clothes I wore to these weddings, starting with this beautiful outfit which was a result of my mix-and-match genius…haha! Now I know when we think of ‘mix-and-match’ outfits, the ones that pop-up in our mind our usually western ones. But since I was so bored with my (not really) old ‘salwar-kameez’, I decided to give them a spin by creating new combinations. Starting with this one, which is a result of this outfit + this outfit. As you can see, the kurta is from a red suit, and the dupatta is from a cream/blue chanderi suit. The red pants are the ones which I got stitched last season to wear with another ‘salwaar-kameez’, so basically, all three components are from three different outfits, but they do combine nicely to make this outfit that I wore to a friend’s Shagun, and then to another friend’s engagement last week.

For accessories I wore nice, big pearl/kundan earrings, and I did carry a deep yellow silk pochette (not visible in this photo). For footwear I chose my favourite gold sandals, they have a bit of heel but are still comfortable (and sparkly). I did open my hair for the functions so this is not the hairstyle I sported, but overall, this is the look I wore for two of the wedding functions last week.

Do you mix-and-match your Indian Outfits? Do leave in a comment. J

Happy Diwali: Outfit of the Day

Hope all of you had a beautiful Diwali. I sure had a great time with family.
Actually, to be honest, I spent most of the day getting our house in order, and by evening I was kind of exhausted. So although I did want to get dolled-up in a nice saree, I chose comfort over style (I think I say that a lot). But in comfort too, I wanted to ‘dress for the occasion’. So I came up with the following outfit solution:
Floral Maxi Skirt + Raw Silk Red Blouse + Statement Earrings
There’s something about this floral skirt that makes the whole outfit dressy. If you recall from this post, I had bought this skirt a couple of weeks back. It came with another top, but somehow the outfit as a whole did nothing for me. So I had made a mental note to look for a top from my existing wardrobe that would go nicely with the skirt. And on looking, I found this beautiful raw silk top that I had gotten stitched from my local tailor a couple of years back. So this whole outfit is the perfect example of ‘mix and match’. The best thing about this outfit is that since the skirt has an elastic waistband, it’s really comfortable.

OOTD: Durga Pooja

As much as I love to dress-up for festivals, sometimes I do like to give a casual spin to my outfit. And that’s exactly what happened on Durga Pooja this year.

Now every year we try to visit the Pooja Pandal at Chittaranjan Park, and this year was no different. But because of past experience, I know that wearing something elaborate while pandal hopping is not a good idea. Sure there are tons of beautiful girls rocking gorgeous Indian attire, but that’s not my cup of tea, when the first thing on my agenda is to hog on some delicious fish curry. ;) So to cut a long story short, I teamed-up my dark blue skinnies with a floral top that I bought from Sarojini Nagar a couple of months back. And since the weather has become nippy, I threw on my favourite denim shirt/jacket to keep me comfy. For footwear I obviously chose my silver ballet flats, and that’s because I cannot imagine sauntering in heels in crowded places.

Click on the play button in case you want to have a glimpse at all the festivities. :)

Outfit details:
Top and Denim Shirt: Sarojini Nagar
Jeans: Forever 21
Shoes: Bata, Bangkok
Bag: Zara (visible in the video)
Watch: Tommy Hilfiger

PS: We also spotted Mr. Kejrival at the Pandal.
