Happy Diwali: Outfit of the Day

Hope all of you had a beautiful Diwali. I sure had a great time with family.
Actually, to be honest, I spent most of the day getting our house in order, and by evening I was kind of exhausted. So although I did want to get dolled-up in a nice saree, I chose comfort over style (I think I say that a lot). But in comfort too, I wanted to ‘dress for the occasion’. So I came up with the following outfit solution:
Floral Maxi Skirt + Raw Silk Red Blouse + Statement Earrings
There’s something about this floral skirt that makes the whole outfit dressy. If you recall from this post, I had bought this skirt a couple of weeks back. It came with another top, but somehow the outfit as a whole did nothing for me. So I had made a mental note to look for a top from my existing wardrobe that would go nicely with the skirt. And on looking, I found this beautiful raw silk top that I had gotten stitched from my local tailor a couple of years back. So this whole outfit is the perfect example of ‘mix and match’. The best thing about this outfit is that since the skirt has an elastic waistband, it’s really comfortable.

What I Wore on Diwali, Diwali Decor, Shopping & More- Vlog

Hi Guys!

I shot a little Diwali vlog for you all. Basically I’ve put together a bunch of stuff related to Diwali, where I basically show you how I spent Diwali- Diwali Outfit, Diwali Decoration included! J So if you’re interested, just watch the video, and if you liked the video then do not forget to give it a thumbs-up.

Those of you who are at work or can’t watch the video at the moment (because of some reason or the other), here is an outfit photo (you’ll find the outfit and makeup details in the Vlog). I wore this gorgeous hot pink and mustard silk saree for Diwali night (photo below). During daytime, I wore a bohemian maxi dress.

Happy Diwali: Outfit and Make-up Idea!

It’s that time of the year again- Diwali time! J

I can literally smell festivity in the air- what with every corner lit up, every one dressed to the nines, card parties, sound of crackers, smell of sweets and what not. And while Diwali week is all about having fun and dressing up, one might want to wear something that’s comfy without comprising on the “style quotient”.

So today, I’m going to share with you this outfit which is apt for attending those Diwali parties (or you could also wear this during daytime on Diwali), and that wouldn’t even break the bank. What more, it’s breezy, comfy and unique. And it’s got a strong bohemian vibe to it. I don’t know about you, but I love anything and everything bohemian.

So watch the video below to find out what this Diwali Outfit is all about.

Let me know in the comments if you liked the outfit. And if you did then please give this video a thumbs-up. For more Fashion and Beauty related videos, feel free to subscribe to my YouTube Channel (Clothes and Creativity).

Happy Diwali.

Another Festive Outfit

With the festive season just about getting over, I have another festive outfit for you all. And those of you who follow me on Instagram would know that I wore this outfit on Monday. I wore this gorgeous A-line tunic-churidaar for dinner at my Aunt’s place. The dinner was post-Diwali, but it was more like a Diwali get-together, so I chose to wear something ‘Indian’ and ‘festive’.

Happy Diwali: Outfit of the Day

Wishing you all a very happy and prosperous Diwali! Hope you all had as much fun (and sweets) as I did.

The past week was beyond hectic- I mean what else could one expect with all the shopping, cleaning, organizing and decorating! But I loved every moment of the hectic-ness, the endless trips to the market and getting the house ready to welcome Diwali.
