Autumn Fashion LookBook || Layering for Autumn || Clothes and Creativity

Autumn has descended upon us and I'm truly enjoying dressing up for the slightly colder weather. The slight nip in the air gives us the liberty to play with the spring summer pieces in our wardrobe and layer them with warmer items so as to create outfits that would not only look beautiful, but also keep us cozy.

So I came up with 3 different outfits which are perfect for this time of the year. I have mainly used clothes from my Spring-Summer wardrobe, but I have layered them in a way so that they are wearable in Autumn.

Watch the video and do let me know which outfit was your favourite. All the outfit details are in the description box of the video. :)

Celebrity Style Inspiration || Miranda Kerr || 3 Outfits

Celebrity street style serves as a major source of fashion inspiration for me, and TBH, I can spend hours looking at outfit photos of my favourite celebrities, and more often than not, the thought that comes to my mind is that I could put similar, if not same, outfits together.

So working on this very thought, I recreated 3 looks inspired by Miranda Kerr's street style. She has got a stunning sense of style and I've never come across a photo of hers where she looks anything less than gorgeous!

Please watch the video to see the looks that I came up with, and please leave a comment stating which look was your favourite.

OOTD & Try-On Fashion Haul || KOOVS & Zara

Stripes are a classic in their own right and I really feel that one can't have enough stripe-y items in their wardrobe. At least I feel that whenever I shop, I subconsciously gravitate towards stripes- and that's the reason I bought two striped maxi dresses (and a lot more) from the recent online Koovs Sale. I've also included a beautiful white cape that I bought from Zara fairly recently.

The one in the first photo is pretty much a classic black-white striped maxi, but the bohemian maxi (photo 2) is the one which is my absolute favourite, and that's because I'm not the only one who loves this colourful number, it seems Kareena Kapoor and I have similar taste when it comes to 'fashion'. She was spotted wearing the same maxi on Saif's birthday. And wait for it, just when you thought Kareena and I had only this maxi dress in common, there's another maxi that we both own, but to know which maxi is that you'll have watch the video. ;)

BTW, I also picked up a few kimonos which I'm sure all you kimono fans would love.

Denim Vest LookBook || 5 Different Outfits

I don't know why I didn't share this sooner on my blog, but they say better late than never- right? So today I'm going to profess my love for the "denim vest". Now don't get me wrong, I haven't always had a thing for denim vests, in fact to be honest, I only have one denim vest in my wardrobe and that's also a fairly recent addition- but boy do I love the versatility of this piece.

I bought my denim dress from here, and ever since I bought it, I have worn it once every week if not everyday. From teaming it up with maxi dresses to sporting it over a pair of jeans, this little piece of clothing has been worn multiple ways.

Have a look at this video to see how I wore my denim vest with five different outfits. Please let me know which outfit did you like the best. :)

How I Celebrated My Birthday: Outfit and Gifts

So I recently turned a year older, and I firmly believe that growing up doesn't have to mean you're growing old! :) Honestly, age is just a number, and the older (and wiser) I grow, the  more I realise the same! ;)

To give you guys a glimpse of my Birthday Celebrations, I filmed a short Birthday Vlog for you guys (you'll get a sneak peek of Birthday Outfit and Birthday Gifts)! Hope you guys like it.

And for those of you who are at work or are unable to play the video for some reason, here's a photo of my Birthday Outfit - it's a burgundy coloured high-low dress from Zara with beautiful but subtle embroidery on the neckline. I kept my outfit fairly simple, thanks to the hot and humid weather. I have shared all other outfit details in the video.

Weekend Outfit Ideas

So it's safe to say that I've been bitten by the 'travel bug', and might I add that I'm quite enjoying the feeling of exploring new places, trying out different cuisines, and just generally soaking in varied cultural experiences.

If you're confused, I suggest you checkout my Turkey Travel Tales, and I promise you that by the end of my Travel Tales you'll have a smile on your face.

So about a week or two back, we hit the hills, so to say, on a quiet rainy weekend, and loved every bit of our stay in one of the mystical little villages of Himachal Pradesh. The photos don't do the place much justice but I promise you this little village had a  rather mystical aura. The clouds hung low on the hills, the flora and fauna mimicked that of a tropical town, lending the place some serious 'Jungle Book' vibes! All in all we had a lovely little family vacation here.

And coming back to the main focus of this post, I wore two strikingly different outfits on this mini-vacation. Click the play button to checkout my 'weekend outfits'.

I'd love to know which outfit did you like better.

Affordable SkinCare, HairCare and Beauty Haul || Patanjali Products

I know when it comes to skincare, most of the so-called 'quality' products are over-priced, so I wanted to share with you some skincare, beauty and haircare products that are not only great quality, but also pocket friendly, because as much as I like a fancy jar of lotion, I also don't want the same to burn a hole in my pocket. Another point is that my skin is rather sensitive, so expensive or not, not every product suits me. The Patanjali products shown in the video below suit me perfectly, and the icing on the cake is that they are rather affordable!

BTW, if you've been following my Turkey Tales, you would know that I have been using the sunscreen and facewash for over a month now! :)

I would love to know if you guys have tried out any of these products, or any other Patanjali product for that matter.

PS: There's a dash of food items thrown in as well.

Disclaimer: All products have been bought with my own money and the opinion put forth is my honest one.

What I Wore in Turkey || Vacation Outfits

Now that you guys have seen what I wore in Istanbul, I thought I'd share with you the outfits I wore during the rest of our Turkey Trip.

I mostly stuck to cute dresses and shorts, and for footwear I either wore my favourite Bata flats or flip-flops.

I would love to know which outfit did you like the best.

BTW, I bought loads of goodies from Turkey. Click here if you want to see my buys!

What I Wore in Istanbul || Fashion LookBook

Hola people!

Long time no post! Haha! I'm not even going to try to explain why I was away, but suffice to say that I'm back with a lot of fun, vibrant, bohemian outfits to keep you entertained for a week, if not more. :)
So if you follow my YouTube Channel, you would know that my Husband and I were in Turkey for 3 weeks, and loved every bit of our time there. We travelled extensively through the Turkish countryside, and explored as much as we could during the course of our stay. In case you guys want to checkout what all we indulged in (and we indulged in a lot of fun, exhilarating things- read 'hot air balloon ride' and 'paragliding from a mountain top'), please click here.

Now coming back to the topic of this post which is "What I Wore in Istanbul"- I wore a variety of different outfits, but almost every outfit had bohemian elements. Since we spent about a week in Istanbul, I did have the option of experimenting a lot with my clothing there, and needless to say, I enjoyed dressing up to the fullest everyday! :) I did try to document most of the outfits, but didn't really manage to capture all of them. I'm sure you'll get a glimpse of some of the outfits (not featured in this LookBook) in my Turkey Travel Diaries.

I love to read your comments so please let me know which outfit was your favourite.

Summer Skirts LookBook || Clothes and Creativity

Summers have announced their arrival and there's not much we can do to escape the heat, apart from planting ourselves in front of the AC or taking a nice little vacation. I'm in favour of the latter though! ;)

Jokes apart, what we can do to make the hot months more bearable is to dress appropriately- make sure that we are wearing easy, breezy clothes in light fabrics and bright colours! And talking about easy-breezy stuff, the one piece of clothing that pops in my mind is a summer skirt! Now I scored a ton of Summer Skirts right at the onset of summers, and honestly you won't believe the price I scored them for. Checkout this Summer Skirt Haul to know what I'm talking about.

Anyway, getting back to the topic, skirts are one of the best options when it comes to 'summer fashion'. They are easy to style and won't leave you sweating like a you know what... :P

So I styled my favourite summer skirts and compiled them into a Lookbook so that you guys might get some summer fashion inspiration. :)

Valentine's Day Make-Up Tutorial + Outfit Idea || Clothes and Creativity

So Valentine's Day is just around the corner and I thought I'd share with you my go-to outfit for a Valentine's Day Date! Now I remember when I was in school and college I used to get super-excited about Valentine's Day, but in the recent years, I have realised that to spend quality time with your partner, to just bond with them is probably my favourite way to celebrate this supposed 'Day of Love'. Don't get me wrong, those of you who want  to 'party-hardy', I mean I have surely done that, but like I said, age does add some wisdom (or so I like to think)! :)

With that being said, let's just move on to my outfit. Although I wore this outfit for a picnic last weekend, I would love to dress in something similar, come Valentine's Day. It's easy, breezy and bohemian. Perfect for just lounging around or going about town! :)

I also filmed a make-up tutorial centred around Valentine's Day! :)

How I Styled my Houndstooth Cardigan || OOTD || Clothes and Creativity

I wanted to style this gorgeous houndstooth cardigan ever since I bought it, but I only got the opportunity to do so last Sunday! And that’s because the weather in Delhi has been rather unpredictable- some days are bitterly cold, and others, rather warm and sunny.

Anyway, getting back to the outfit, since I find houndstooth print to be quite a statement in itself, and so, I wanted to keep the rest of the outfit pretty neutral. And what better way to ‘do’ neutral than to rock some ‘denim-on-denim’!

Winter Fashion Lookbook || Clothes and Creativity

Although Delhi winters have been kind of erratic this time, it’s cold enough to be bundled up in a few warm layers, and for once, I am enjoying the process of getting dressed-up for this rather ‘warmish’ winter season.

However, by ‘warmish’ I do not mean warm, but for those of you who have stayed in Delhi or have experienced the infamous “Dilli ki Sardi” would know what I am talking about. And keeping in mind the current weather situation, I have 3 outfits that are perfect to be worn at this time.

Perfect Outfit for a Sunny Winter

Hi Guys!

Winters have arrived in full-swing, and although I’ve got a ton of hardcore winter outfit posts for you all, today I’m going to share with you an outfit you could totally rock on a warm/sunny winter day.

I just paired up my dark blue skinnies with a basic navy tee, threw on an Aztec print scarf, and finished off the outfit by adding a bright green cardigan (for the warmth).

For more details on the outfit, feel free to hit the play button.
Also, please leave your feedback. :)

Happy Diwali: Outfit of the Day

Hope all of you had a beautiful Diwali. I sure had a great time with family.
Actually, to be honest, I spent most of the day getting our house in order, and by evening I was kind of exhausted. So although I did want to get dolled-up in a nice saree, I chose comfort over style (I think I say that a lot). But in comfort too, I wanted to ‘dress for the occasion’. So I came up with the following outfit solution:
Floral Maxi Skirt + Raw Silk Red Blouse + Statement Earrings
There’s something about this floral skirt that makes the whole outfit dressy. If you recall from this post, I had bought this skirt a couple of weeks back. It came with another top, but somehow the outfit as a whole did nothing for me. So I had made a mental note to look for a top from my existing wardrobe that would go nicely with the skirt. And on looking, I found this beautiful raw silk top that I had gotten stitched from my local tailor a couple of years back. So this whole outfit is the perfect example of ‘mix and match’. The best thing about this outfit is that since the skirt has an elastic waistband, it’s really comfortable.

OOTD: Durga Pooja

As much as I love to dress-up for festivals, sometimes I do like to give a casual spin to my outfit. And that’s exactly what happened on Durga Pooja this year.

Now every year we try to visit the Pooja Pandal at Chittaranjan Park, and this year was no different. But because of past experience, I know that wearing something elaborate while pandal hopping is not a good idea. Sure there are tons of beautiful girls rocking gorgeous Indian attire, but that’s not my cup of tea, when the first thing on my agenda is to hog on some delicious fish curry. ;) So to cut a long story short, I teamed-up my dark blue skinnies with a floral top that I bought from Sarojini Nagar a couple of months back. And since the weather has become nippy, I threw on my favourite denim shirt/jacket to keep me comfy. For footwear I obviously chose my silver ballet flats, and that’s because I cannot imagine sauntering in heels in crowded places.

OOTD: Mad for Plaid

I know ‘Mad for Plaid’ is a rather over-played title in the world of ‘fashion blogging’, but hey, it works!

So now that the weather is a teeny bit nippy (here in Delhi), it’s time to bring out all the fun plaid shirts hibernating in our closet, because I don’t know about you, but for me, Plaid Shirts are an Autumn/Fall Essential. And that’s precisely why I wore a simple ‘Plaid Shirt-Skinny Jeans’ combo when I had to head out to the Contemporary Arts Week. The outfit was pretty basic- and that’s what I was aiming for since we were out and about on our toes for rather long. That explains the ballet flats as well. ;)

A Day at the Mall: OOTD + VLOG

The other day, my Husband and I went to the mall to pick up a few items (none pertaining to me though). And while I almost always enjoy getting dressed for the mall, that particular day I didn't have enough time to fuss over my outfit. So I wore the simplest outfit ever, and I think I managed to look half decent. J

I chose a sheer, printed blouse (which was a favourite at the time I was working with a law firm, but hadn't received much love lately) and paired it with my trusted dark blue skinnies. For shoes my obvious choice were the silver ballet flats I'd picked up from Bangkok. I say obvious because malls require a ton of walking, and for that I need to be in my comfiest pair of footwear, although I've spotted plenty of girls rocking 6 inch heels and trotting about the mall (why would they torture themselves!). And the star attraction of my outfit (I hope that phrase makes sense though) was my gorgeous Louis Vuitton handbag. It's such a beautiful handbag, perfect for a day at the mall as it's an over the shoulder bag and extremely comfortable to carry. The photo you see was taken at the basement parking of the mall. If you're a Delhi girl, I'm sure you would have already guessed the mall in question (if not, watch the VLOG). :) I love creativity in any form and the colourful graffiti splattered all across the parking lot is such a great reminder of all the latent creativity that people have.

In case I have piqued your curiosity and you would want to have a look at my day at the mall, just click the play button.

OOTD: A Walk In The Park

I think I’ve said it before, but I’ll say it again (and again), I love me some top & jeans. The ease of slipping into a pair of skinnies, and teaming them up with my favourite blouse instantly results in a ‘happy outfit’. And that’s exactly the outfit I’m going to share with you today.

The printed silk blouse has an Oriental vibe, and when paired with a pair of dark blue skinnies, the orange of the top really pops (and rhymes…haha). Now I know it’s been sticky and humid and rainy here in Delhi for the past few weeks, but I wore this outfit on a hot summer day, and believe it or not, posed happily in the scorching sun. The only thing that kept me going was the gorgeous park I was in. If you want to have a look at what I’m talking about, just play the video. Coming back to the outfit, I kept the accessories minimal with simple pearls for earrings, a pearl/gold bracelet and my regular rose-gold watch. Footwear were my favourite pair of flats from Bata and I carried all my necessities in a dark blue bag from Zara. And yeah, that pretty much sums up my outfit.

Blouse & Jeans: Mango
Bag: Zara
Sunglasses & Bracelet: Primark
Sandals: Bata

OOTD: At the Movies + Sarojini Nagar Haul

If you’ve been reading this blog for some time, you would know that I absolutely love maxi dresses. And another thing that comes close to my liking for maxi dresses is maxi skirt.

Although I do not have a ton of them, I do enjoy wearing the ones that I do have. And this beautiful one that I recently scored from the ever-popular Sarojini Nagar market has quickly become my favourite.

Since the print on the skirt is rather busy, I kept the top simple- basic black tee looked good. I also wore some nice white/gold earrings (another favourite of mine). And since we were going to watch a movie (Bajrangi Bhaijan- in case you’re interested in knowing which one), I did carry a teal cardigan (I get super-cold in the theatre) and a matching bag from Clarks. The top is my sister’s and the skirt, like I said, is from SN. My footwear was a pair of flats from Bata and I also wore my usual rose-gold watch (Tommy Hilfiger).

If you want to check out all the goodies I scored from Sarojini Nagar, just hit the play button.

I love reading your comments so do drop in a line or two.
