I
am a summer person, have always been one, and any day prefer the sun to the
fog. But there comes a time in the year when the leaves change colour, the
mornings become misty and pleasant and there’s festivity in the air. And that
for me is this time of the year- Autumn (or Fall, as some call it).
Now
I know that it’s far from Autumn here (in Delhi), I mean what’s with the
scorching sun at this time of the year?! But I’ve actually started dressing up
for the colder months. Now don’t get me wrong, I’m not covered with woolens
etc., but I’ve just been adding little details like wearing scarves with jewel
tones, wearing a light blazer etc.
In
the outfit below, you’ll see that I played with some neutral colours and the
only source of colour is the scarf (in shades of mustard, burgundy, olive) and
the blue bag. BTW, if you like wearing scarves then I have a video where I show
7 Different Ways to Tie a Scarf. Coming back to the outfit, the top that I wore
was a deep mustard colour, but then again, that’s hardly visible in the photo
as well as IRL. However, I do love clothing in deep mustard, especially during
this time of the year.I wore my new olive-taupe jeggings for the first
time. Yes, I wore jeggings to work, no they don’t look like jeggings (they look like skinny trousers, probably
because of the colour). For footwear, I wore these tan Primark sandals (that are
almost like shoes). And my bag remained the same blue one. I quite liked this
outfit, and the blazer provided the perfect dose of coziness in the rather cold (air-conditioned)
office.
