OOTD and a little story!

The outfit and the story are not related, but since I wanted to put this down on the blog, I’ll just start with the rather strange story first. So here we go…

Now for those of you who have been here before would know that I work with a firm, and that a part of my work involves (sometimes) dealing with interns! And I dealt with a rather strange one a couple of months back. In fact I had even forgotten the name of this person, only to be reminded recently by someone, how apparently this person got “burnt” by me, and decided to “dig up some dirt” on me. And in an attempt to do that (because obviously this person was not interested in doing any real work), she discovered my blog and told the firm about it! Hahaa! Lame, I know! And probably I should not have given her so much space on the blog, but what to do! I was kind of shocked by this discovery, by this side of human behavior which surfaces without provocation. I mean I really cannot fathom why someone would want to google someone else. Last I checked, I was not a celebrity! Will she google every person who asks her to do a decent job?! Anyway, can’t help but pity the silly girl! I guess what they say is right, it takes all sorts to make this world!

Now coming on to the fun part that’s my outfit. I wore this (almost) all black ensemble to work a couple of weeks back. I wore a gray sweater underneath my black blazer and put on some basic black trousers. Now since the outfit was dull (not my style), I knew I had to brighten it up with accessories. So I wrapped a multi-coloured floral scarf around my neck and wore my berry shoes, which nicely bookend the pinks in the scarf. BTW, I saw this scarf on Barkha Dutt yesterday! Haha!

Black Blazer: Narendra Kumar for Westside
Trousers: Mango
Scarf:  Kashmir Emporium
Shoes: Tashi
Bag: Gifted
Sunglasses: Marks & Spencer

I like how some bright accessories (scarf and shoes in this case) can uplift the vibe of an otherwise neutral dull outfit. J

Also wanted to share with you this outfit which got featured on Creative Mondays. J

PS: I posted this outfit on my Instagram the day I wore it.
