The Magic of A Scarf: Work Outfit

I had to go Court yesterday and so I had to be dressed in Black and White- more precisely white shirt, black trousers and black blazer (court uniform). Boring and stuffy, I know!

So I decided to add a little colour to my attire by adding a green/blue scarf. For those of you who don’t know, I am a big fan of scarves. I used to add a scarf to every outfit but lately I have not been accessorizing much with scarves. No particular reason, just been a little off them.

Now lawyers are supposed to wear black and white in Court, but thankfully in office there is no such rule. So I knew that for the rest of the day, I had to have some colour on me (it’s another story that the day was cut short because I fell sick!). And colour I added by adding this beautiful chiffon scarf in blue/green/gray. I tied it loosely along the shirt collar and let it flow. Without the scarf, the outfit would have been pretty much boring. And I do not like boring! The scarf adds colour and interest to the simple black/white outfit. For footwear I had my black pumps on and carried my tan bag (another breaking point from the black and white monotony).

Also, the photo is not too clear as it was taken from my i-touch.

Do you like accessorizing with scarves? How do you like this outfit?

    1. Ashley, lawyers in India have to be dressed up in black and white formals when appearing in Court. It's their uniform.
