I can proudly say that
I am not a brand-snob. I mean I do have a soft corner for my favourite labels
but it’s not like I don’t explore the good, girly stuff at other places. I mean
who doesn’t love a good deal right?! And if you happen to find a beautiful,
lady-like, feminine, floral dress perfect for lunch with your girls or a
romantic date with your boyfriend/husband, the deal transforms from good to
great.
So I chanced upon this
gorgeous floral dress as I was strolling across one of the famous street
markets of Delhi. I saw it hanging at one of the many colourful stalls and it just
spoke to me. I mean it literally tugged at me. And at precisely that moment, I
knew I had to make it a part of my ever-expanding wardrobe. Now if you’ve been
reading my blog for some time now, you’ll know that I am a big fan of florals.
Love the print on everything possible- from clothes, to accessories, to upholstery
to crockery and so on. So I bought the dress, and at a great price. I mean the
dress in my eyes is beautiful, but the price I paid for it just adds more charm
to this beauty.
I came back home and I
knew I had to try it on. It turned out to be perfect. I quickly got photos
clicked so as to share it with all you lovely people. I love the feminine vibe
of the dress. Another thing that I like about it is the length- it hits just
below the knee and that makes it more versatile than some of the other (short)
dresses out there.
Do you shop at street
markets? Or do you prefer sticking to your trusted brands? Drop me a comment. J
Lovely dress. And it fits you so perfectly :) Even I am not a brand snob. However, I dont have the patience for street shopping except for GK.

DeleteI love the thrill of scouring flea-markets and finding gold in the process.
Very pretty dress. Looks tailor made for you :) I LOVE street shopping although I rarely find stuff of quality. I end up getting excited and buying a lot and then regret most of my choices later on... But it is fun nevertheless ;)

DeleteThere have been times when I have picked up stuff that I never wore, but then again I love the thrill of finding a good deal.
I shop online a lot. But to my surprise (still deciding pleasant or not) I found same shirts I bought online at one third of the price in a Flea market. So m a convert. Besides the price, u may find some really interesting stuff in the flea markets like your dress in the pic.
ReplyDeleteI think flea markets are the best place to find unique and interesting stuff. And I'm sure it wouldn't have been a pleasant surprise for you to find out that you ended up paying thrice the original price for your shirts!
DeleteLove it! :)
ReplyDeleteThanks! :)
